The game, devices and purchase
Tokyo Claw Days is an offline, single-player claw-machine shop management game set in a Tokyo neighborhood. It supports iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 17.0 or later. All opponents are NPCs. There is no online multiplayer and no game account is required.
A single purchase includes the complete game. The App Store shows the price, currency and applicable taxes when you purchase. There are no ads, in-app purchases or subscriptions. Apple handles purchase and download; once downloaded, the game and its music work offline.
Opening your first shop
Rent a doorway plot, place your machine with a clear path for customers, then load prizes from your inventory and choose the play price and prize-guarantee settings before opening. In Settings, “Let Gen guide my opening practice” offers eight steps covering placement, free practice, a side view, a customer's visit and restocking. You can pause and resume the guide. Winning the practice round is not required.
To restock manually during business, open restocking for that machine. If a customer is still playing or leaving, wait for the entire visit to finish. The game pauses when restocking is available so you can confirm your stock before continuing. You can cancel the wait without changing the ongoing play.
Language and music
Settings offers Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean and Spanish. Following an unsupported system language uses Traditional Chinese. Changing language does not translate your custom shop name.
The game includes three original background tracks. Background music, music volume and game sound effects have separate controls. Language and music preferences are saved independently, so importing progress or starting a new story does not reset them. Game time and music pause when the app becomes inactive or enters the background. If music is silent, check device volume, silent mode, other audio and the music switch. Turn background music off and on to retry playback.
Automatic saves and timestamps
The game automatically saves actions and business progress. Settings shows the time of the most recent successful main-file save; a fresh game does not claim a successful save before one exists. The latest write-failure time is separate and covers only the current app session, so an earlier failure can remain visible after a successful save.
If saving fails, check free device storage, retry the action that did not complete and check the save status. Do not delete the app while the issue is unresolved. Export a copy of the original file if it is readable. Time does not advance while the game is closed.
Exporting and restoring progress
- In Settings, choose “Export save,” then choose Save to Files and a destination in the system share interface. Complete the system's Save action. Merely opening the share sheet does not create a backup.
- To restore an external copy, choose “Import saved progress,” select a JSON file exported by the game, and check its shop name and day before confirming. Previewing or cancelling does not replace your progress.
- You can also choose “Restore the previous local backup.” Restoration replaces current progress with that backup. Export current progress outside the app first if you want to keep it long term.
Before a valid import, the game attempts to preserve the readable original main file. If Settings offers “Export preserved old progress,” you can save that file separately. A later import updates this preserved file; it is not an unlimited history. If a save cannot be read, use the backup tools shown on screen. Do not edit the JSON or delete original files to troubleshoot. A save from a newer game version may require that version.
Removing data and contacting support
Deleting the app removes its local data. Offloading it while keeping documents and data does not erase progress. Manage external copies and system backups separately. There is no server save from which we can recover lost progress.
Email your device model, OS version, game version, affected screen, steps to reproduce and any error message. Remove unrelated personal details from screenshots. A save can contain your custom shop name; attach one only if you choose to and it is needed for support. Do not send passwords, payment card numbers or identity documents. Read the Privacy Policy for data-handling details.
